Infirmier et infirmière auxiliaire
Licensed Practical Nurses (Auxiliary Nurses, Nursing Assistants) provide care to patients and work with nurses, doctors and other health professionals. Some of their tasks include taking the patients’ vital signs, preparing and giving medications, performing various treatments prescribed by a doctor and help with the personal hygiene and comfort of the patients. They carefully observe the patient, deliver appropriate care, and report any changes in the status of the patients’ health to the appropriate health professional. Licensed Practical Nurses work mainly in hospitals, nursing homes and long-term care recipients’ homes as part of the services offered by CLSCs.
SALARY
$21.15 to $27.78 per hour
EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN QUÉBEC

PREREQUISITES
High school diploma with Sec V French and English, and Sec IV Math
