Archiviste médical(e)
Medical Records Technicians are responsible for managing and coding medical records and maintaining standards of privacy and disclosure for them in accordance with laws, regulations and policies. They analyze medical records and encode the recorded items based on classifications and they may also research, compile, and interpret related statistical data. They manage computer systems containing medical records, and sometimes manage the clinical databases of their workplace. Medical Records Technicians mainly work in hospitals, CLSCs, or university medical centres, and may collaborate with an institution’s professional team in assessing records or in teaching.
SALARY
$20.30 to $30.22 per hour
EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN QUÉBEC
3-year Cégep Diploma in Medical Records is offered in English at O’Sullivan College of Montreal, or at various other Cégeps in French.
