Students in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program from Cégep Heritage College stopped by this morning to enjoy a presentation on Connexions!
The ECCE students were curious about our community organization and how we help promote the health, well-being, and vitality of the English-speaking population of the Outaouais. We offered quite a variety of information with a focus on services and programs in the region for parents with children 0-5.
This year, the ECCE students have been helping out with programming for our Itsy Bitsy Tots Playgroup and, again this year, will create resources for our School Readiness Kits. These Kits are put together by Connexions to help regional English-speaking families prepare their children for the transition from home or daycare to school. These Kits are distributed during Kindergarten Open-Houses at targeted schools of the Western Quebec School Board (WQSB) and through the CLSCs in Gatineau.
Make sure to join our Itsy Bitsy Tots Playgroup Facebook Discussion Group for some great resources for children 0-4 and to find out about our next playgroup!
