Dare to Talk About Suicide - Resources

On average, three Quebecers take their own lives every day. That is three friends, parents, children, or spouses too many. We canโ€™t accept the loss of all those members of our community. Suicide is never the answer.

Suicide Prevention, Prevention is better than death

ย

With the theme โ€œPrevention is better than death,โ€ Suicide Prevention Week reminds us that suicide is not inevitable. By working together, we can save lives.

For Suicide Prevention Week, letโ€™s dare to talk about suicide. Letโ€™s be bold enough to break taboos. By opening up a dialogue, we can build a vast network of people who are aware and ready to act for their loved ones and themselves.

Find resources from the Association quรฉbรฉcoise de prรฉvention du suicide (AQPS)ย to help you talk about suicide in a preventive and safe manner as well as ways to develop careful listening skills.

Find Mental Health Resources on our website.

Find crisis and non-crisis lines for all ages, including youth, LGBTQ2+, veterans, indigenous people, farmers and more.
