Real Talk: Series for Youth

Join us virtually on Wednesday evenings, February 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 7 pm to 8 pm as Connexions is offering a four-part series for youth between the ages of 15 to 18 covering topics on:

Consent – February 1
What is consent? Are there different kinds of consent?
We’ll go through several ways to figure out what we want, and then practice asking for it.

Gender Identity & Expression – February 8
Societal and family expectations can make it difficult to figure ourselves out.
What is gender? How do we figure out our identities?
And how can we talk to others about what’s going on with us? We’ll get into it!

Sexual Orientation – February 15
Who are you into?
We’ll go over many different kinds of attraction, some current definitions, and common labels.

Healthy Relationships – February 22
How do you know you’re ready? What does it mean to be a good partner?
Before entering into a relationship, it’s helpful to know stuff like your own boundaries, values, your comfort levels, and interests.
We’ll cover some questions to ask yourself and the other person when you’re getting to know someone new.
