About the Role:
Are you passionate about helping others and creating spaces where everyone feels valued and supported? As our Community Navigation and Member Services Coordinator, you’ll connect Connexions with the community. Your role will be to welcome, listen to, and support community members with empathy and care, making sure every interaction has a positive impact. You will play a central role in making Connexions a trusted place in Outaouais.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Community Connections

  • Be the first point of contact for members, helping them find services, complete forms, and access resources.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships by regularly communicating with members across different platforms.

Creating a Welcoming Environment

  • Make Connexions a warm, inclusive space for everyone, whether they call in, visit in person or online.
  • Engage with members in ways that make them feel welcome and encourage them to get involved.

Helping Members and Partners

  • Provide clear information about local health, social, and public services, answering questions and guiding members.
  • Manage program registrations and keep members updated through newsletters, social media, and our website.

Supporting Community Programs

  • Work with our Community Wellness Team to create programs that reflect what the community needs and wants.
  • Help plan, evaluate, and improve programs to ensure they have a positive impact.

Administrative and Logistical Support

  • Keep accurate member files, document interactions, and maintain a database of local resources.

What We’re Looking for in You:
You are more than a coordinator; you’re someone who makes people feel heard, respected, and supported. You understand community needs, especially for English-speaking residents in Outaouais, and can adapt services to meet different needs.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Empathy and Communication: Strong listening skills, empathy, and a natural talent for helping people are essential for building trusting relationships with community members.
  • Bilingualism: Fluent in French and English, with excellent speaking and writing skills in both languages to serve a bilingual community.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in community program coordination, member services, or a similar role, with an understanding of community engagement practices.
  • Inclusive Approach: Sensitivity to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and supported.
  • Organization: Highly organized with strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
  • Education: A college or university degree in social work, community development, communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Tech Skills: Ability to use digital tools and manage communications across multiple platforms, supporting efficient information sharing and engagement.
