Word Play: Parent-Child Language Workshops (4-5) | Hybrid

Concerned about your child’s speech, language, and communication? Waiting for services from a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)? Get hands-on support from Speech-Language Clinician(s) through our series of six parent-child workshops!
The hybrid workshops will take place on Sunday mornings from October 20 to November 24 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and will include:
- A detailed look and hands-on approach to learning language stimulation techniques that you can easily integrate into your child’s daily routine (and through play),
- Parent & child reading circles and hands-on games to stimulate language learning and communication; and
- Q&A time.
Hybrid Schedule:
- Session 1: Zoom – Parent-only information session hosted by a clinician
- Session 2: In-person – Hands-on activities with the child/parent led by a clinician(s) – Lord Aylmer Elementary School (Senior Campus)
- Session 3: In-person – Hands-on activities with the child/parent led by a clinician(s) – Lord Aylmer Elementary School (Senior Campus)
- Session 4: Zoom – Virtual activities with the child/parent led by a clinician
- Session 5: Zoom – Virtual activities with the child/parent led by a clinician
- Session 6: Zoom- Parent-only information session hosted by a clinician
IMPORTANT: Parents must commit to attending all 6 workshops. This series is for families with children between the ages of 4-5 years old. This series is facilitated by speech-language clinicians from the Cabinet d’orthophonie – Jessica Bélisle Macquart.
