Tapping into the Heritage of Our Seniors, a project led by Connexions Resource Centre, recently came to life by bringing together seniors and students at Heritage College. This collaborative initiative focused on connection, creativity, and celebrating community heritage. Throughout the project, participants explored personal stories, memories, and lived experiences through art and storytelling activities that highlighted the rich heritage of the English-speaking community in the Outaouais.
The project created meaningful opportunities for intergenerational connection, learning, reflection, and self-expression. The final showcase at Heritage College celebrated the creativity and voices of everyone involved while demonstrating the importance of bringing generations together to share experiences and strengthen community ties. This project was made possible through the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage.
