Employment Opportunities

In the Outaouais, the health and social services sector is the second largest employer with over 250 different kinds of jobs in health care services. The Outaouais boasts two modern, urban hospitals in the City of Gatineau as well as three rural hospitals in Buckingham, Wakefield and Shawville. There are also several long-term care facilities, CLSCs and rehabilitation centres.

Bilingual health professionals will easily find work, especially in the following disciplines: nursing, family physicians, dental hygienists, radiation technologists, paramedics, nursing assistants, speech therapists and many roles in health administration.

To explore employment opportunities at health care facilities in the Outaouais, contact Centre intégré de santé et des services sociaux de l’Outaouais (CISSSO).
