As part of this week’s Hooked on School Days (HSD), held February 12 to 16, a new survey conducted by the Groupe Léger, revealed that of the 1,009 Quebec respondents, aged 18 to 34 years, family and personal difficulties had a huge impact on school perseverance.
51% named family conflict, 50% named alcohol and drug use, and 40% named a physical or mental health difficulty or disability as factors for dropping-out of school, returning to their studies after having dropped-out or for thinking of dropping-out.
