Technicien(ne) en éducation spécialisée
Special Education Instructors work with individuals with intellectual handicaps, learning disabilities, or social maladjustments to enable their rehabilitation and social integration. These technicians participate in individual needs assessments to develop an action plan for social adaptation, or an individualized education plan (IEP) for schooling. Special Education Instructors strive to establish the trust needed to build the confidence of special needs individuals. They often create learning activities for individuals, or facilitate group activities. They may work in regular or specialized schools, youth centres, rehabilitation centres, or hospitals.
