We would like to thank our participants for attending yesterday’s videoconference on Healthy Eating: Sugar & Salt with speaker Dorothy Moffat, B.Sc., P.Dt., a Dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in seniors’ nutritional needs.
We had a great session! We learned a lot about naturally occurring sugars vs. refined, how to cut down on sugar and salt, and the new fat and cholesterol. As Dorothy Moffat explained, sugar and salt, in small quantities, enriches our foods and make them taste better, but in larger amounts, both can have a negative impact on health.
